EC Now - Retail EC Now is a high speed, low cost EDI translator that has been developed in Australia by Tailored Computer Systems Pty Ltd. It can be readily customized to meet a wide range of EDI based electronic commerce trading requirements. Operating as stand-alone 32bit process in the Windows environment, EC Now forms a seamless interface between an in-house application and the world of electronic trading with all trading partners that use international EDI standards. Communication modules can be provided for Australian EDI networks using standard dial-up facilities or Internet based FTP sessions. Full session level tracking and logging is provided. When required, EC Now validates all incoming and outgoing EDI messages and automatically generates appropriate Ansi 997 or Edifact CONTRL messages. Message tracking is a standard feature that enables users to readily verify that transmitted messages have been received and that received messages have been acknowledged. EC Now provides a fast and reliable interface to a wide range of end-user applications, validating all EDI messages and mapping directly to/from the application's file format and the required raw EDI format. Printouts of messages are available in a standard document format. When interfaced with TradeMasterÔ, users have the full facilities of a sophisticated scan packing solution. EDI kits are being developed as plug in modules for trading with Australian major retailers e.g. 7-Eleven, Big W, David Jones, GHPL, Fosseys, Kmart, Myer Grace Bros, Target, Woolworths etc.etc. A kit has even been developed that enables law firms to "trade" electronically with the Department of Justice - Victoria using standard Edifact documents. Custom EDI kits can be readily created by TCS if you wish to trade electronically with other partners.
